hey, everyone! so since i started this blog earlier this year, i’ve talked about reading a lot. i’ve talked about my favorite books, my least favorite books, my favorite book quotes–i’ve pretty much done it all. but i realized that something i’ve never talked about is my writing–more specifically, fanfiction. this post is actually a little nervewracking to make, since fanfiction is something i’ve kept to myself for so long, but i don’t think it’s anything to be ashamed of. so without further ado, let’s get started with the fanfiction tag!

Book Recs Inspired by Taylor Swift’s “Reputation”

Hey, everyone! So today I’m here with a post I’ve never done before, inspired by Madeline over at She did a post on book recs inspired by Melodrama by Lorde, which is one of my favorite albums. When was the last time you saw a character that resembled you in a YA book? I’m not just talking about a character with a similar personality or interests. I’m talking about a character with similar physical traits. Chances are, if you’re white, it will be pretty easy to remember. That’s absolutely nothing against white people, just acknowledging a common fact: white people, as opposed to POC, are primarily represented in common media, whether that be books, movies, or TV shows.
